3 Days Chimpanzee tracking Safari takes you to Kibale National Park commonly known as the primate capital of Africa. Kibale forest national park home to 13 primate species and other 70 mammals species. The primates include the famous Chimpanzees that are known to have 97.8% human DNA. Beside Chimpanzees, the park is also home to other primates like Blue Monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, Red Colobus, Black and white Colobus and many others. Kibale forest national park is surrounded by a number of crater lakes, worth breathtaking to all visitors, offering stunning views. Lakes include; Nyanswiga, Lake Ntambi, Lake Nyamugasani, Lake, Lake Lyantonde, among others. Chimpanzee tracking is one major activity of Kibale forest National park and other attractions include; the Bigodi wetland known for its great bird life, the Tooro palace, tea and Vanilla plantations.
Day 01: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park
Have morning breakfast and later embark on a drive through papyrus swamps to Kibale National Park. Upon reaching to your booked accommodation and checking in, later go for afternoon guided walk while meeting outstanding cultures. Meals and overnight.
Day 02: Chimpanzee Tracking Safari in Kibale:
Early breakfast, later on report to Kanyanchu Tourist Centre for the official activities briefing before beginning your chimpanzees tracking in the forest. There are higher chances to views chimpanzees, although not a guarantee, which will take like 1 to 4 hours tracking them, upon encountering them your permitted about one hour with the chimpanzee as you observe them swing from one tree to another feed, and then later back to the lodge for lunch and refreshment. Later on visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary from where you will take on a guided walk around the swamp seeing a wide range of flora and fauna. Butterflies, birds and other insects. Dinner and overnight
Day 03: Transfer from Kibale National Park to Kampala
Have Morning breakfast then drive back to Kampala with lunch en route, you can opt for brief stopover to visit the tea plantation along the road if you wish.
